A fantastic way to get children outdoors, and learning about the world around them!

What’s in the November box?

Each month, the box contains everything needed for four seasonal activities based around nature and gardening. These include the necessary instructions, materials (other than ‘raw’ materials such as leaves), nature news and a quiz.

All materials are aimed towards children, but I must admit I learnt a thing or two as well!

Mud and Bloom November Box Contents

The November box includes the following activities;

– Make a leaf lantern
– Grow your own Crocuses
– Make Peg Dolls
– Make Pine Cone Owls
– Fungi Spotter

… along with the quiz and nature news for the month.

As mentioned, other than raw materials – which for these activities involved collecting pine cones, leaves and twigs – everything else is provided. Therefore, along with the instructions, the box also included the following;

– Tea Light
– Kite Paper
– Strips of Card
– Circle of Card (template – scissors needed to cut)
– Thin Wire
– Crocus Bulbs (x3)
– Organic Compost Pellets
– Wooden Pegs (x2)
– Hemp Twine
– Glue
– Wool Felt
– Pipe Cleaners

All of which fit neatly in the box without being squashed!

The boxes are aimed at children between the ages of 3 to 8, though I’d personally quite happily gift one of these to a child up to 12. Younger children will definitely need help with most activities, but I’d suggest older children could probably manage without.
